Shipping lines offer various container sizes. Below are the general guidelines to maximize the container’s weight / Cube:

20 ft STD

  • Hand Stacked - 1050 cubic ft & 35500 lbs
  • On Pallets- 10 pallets - 900 cubic ft & 35150 lbs
  • Overweight Permit up to 40,000 lb (Triaxle, additional fees apply)

40 ft STD

  • Hand stacked- 2100 cubic ft & 45500 lbs
  • On pallets - 20 pallets- 1800 cubic ft & 44800 lbs
  • Overweight Permit up to 50,000 lb (Additional fees apply)

40 ft HC

  • Hand stacked- 2350 cubic ft & 45500 lbs
  • On Pallets- 20 pallets - 1950 cubic ft & 44800 lbs
  • Overweight Permit up to 50,000 lbs (Additional fees apply)

40 ft Reefer

  • On Pallets only- 20 pallets-1850 cubic ft & 44000 lbs

45 ft STD

  • Hand Stacked- 2750 cubic ft & 47000 lbs
  • On Pallets- 23 pallets- 2350 cubic ft & 46195 lbs

The above hand stacked calculations are based on different case dimension container loads. When loading products with the same case dimensions the container capacity can be maximized up to 2.600 cft.
